Argane
Info
The
composition of argane oil makes it great for culinary, cosmetic
or medicinal use. The
nutritional elements in argane oil facilitate digestion by increasing
the amount of pepsin in digestive fluids.
16
grams of argane oil assures the body's daily need of linoleic
acid. The
absence of linolenic acid gives argane oil a long shelf life.
Tocopherols
acts as anti-oxidants and also give argane oil a longer life.
There
is anti-oxidant action due to the presence of phenolic elements(phenols,
phenolic acid, polyphenols).
The
percentage of polyunsaturated fats (linoleic and linolenic)
to that of saturated fats (myristic, palmitic, stearic) is 1.9
and very close to the 1-1.5 recommended by nutritionists.
Argane
oil is an excellent source of vitamin E as evidenced by the
presence of the isomer alpha-tocopherol.
